THE FUEL DOCK WILL BE CLOSED ON FEBRUARY 7TH
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Please see below.
The Timber Pile Replacement Project was awarded to Pacific Pile and Marine on December 1, 2011. Mobilization of the barges will begin on Monday, February 6th. The crew will start replacing pilings on Tuesday beginning with the fuel dock and guest moorage, which we anticipate should be completed by mid-week. The fuel dock will be open for this weekend, February 3rd through Monday, February 6th and will temporarily shut down on Tuesday morning until guest moorage and fuel dock construction is complete. This closure will also affect the pump-out and the potable water on the fuel dock. Pacific Pile will then start construction on E dock towards the end of next week and will continue to work towards A dock as removal and replacement progresses. Please stay tuned for a more accurate schedule to come next week. Guest moorage will be available for tenants who wish to use it while their slips are under construction. Most boats will not need to move as we will be able to safely raft vessels in their slips. If your vessel requires relocating, the Port office will contact you. Those vessels which extend into the fairway may need to be relocated, especially in the narrow fairways. Once the barges begin construction on your dock you will not be able to move your boat in or out of your slip until each dock is completed. The Port is replacing 56 piles in total and we anticipate roughly 4 piles replaced per day. The completion deadline is March 4th. Thank you for working with us during this busy time and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please stay tuned for more information.
The Port of Kingston's fuel dock float provides two pumps that can accommodate 4 small boats or 2 large boats with ethanol free gasoline (87 Octane) and diesel fuel. In addition we offer motor oil, lubricants, and additives. The fuel dock is open from 8:00am to 4:45pm seven days per week, excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Years. From Memorial Day to Labor Day the fuel dock is open from 8:00am to 7:45pm both Friday and Saturday.
The Fuel dock also provides free use of a pump-out station during fuel dock hours. There is a porta-dump station located on the premises as well for public use.
Federal Regulations prohibit mooring at the fuel dock at anytime and the Port of Kingston strictly enforces this rule and will issues fines if necessary.
